(WBIR) After a couple of days of operation on their Severe Weather Plan, the Knoxville Police Department will return to normal operations at 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
While all of the main roads in the city are clear of ice and snow, motorists should still watch out for slick spots and drive carefully while traveling on secondary roads, especially those in neighborhoods that have not been treated.
As of Wednesday morning, law enforcement in the city of Knoxville announced it will continue to operate on Level 1 of its Severe Weather Plan.
Since Tuesday morning, KPD said its officers responded to 25 crashes with injuries and either responded to or have been notified of nearly 150 property damage crashes.
A KPD spokesperson said motorists should still be advised that many secondary roads throughout the city remain covered in snow and ice.
