New data from a workplace safety report in 2012 finds the trend for fewer accidents in Tennessee is continuing.
In 2012, there were 100 fatal workplace accidents in the state. That's the lowest number in a decade, and it's down 17-percent from 2011.
Transportation accidents resulted in one-third of the accidents. Violence from other workers or animals was the number two cause.
For worker injuries, sprains, strains, and tears were the leading causes of workplace injuries.
