(WBIR) After months of anticipation, Girl Scout cookies have arrived in East Tennessee.

The cookies were unloaded by the truckloads on Dutchtown Road in west Knox County Tuesday. Girl Scout troops across the area will soon pick up those cookies to fill initial customer orders and for their upcoming cookie booth sales.

The cookies will be arriving throughout the week before booth sales start Friday.

The Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians said it's expecting a total of 1.3 million cookies delivered throughout 46 counties in East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and North Georgia.
