Update: The Knox County School board approved the superintendent's proposal to make up the extra snow day on March 14 and designate April 21 as a make-up day if needed.
Knox County Schools used another snow day on Monday, and that puts them over the limit of the days the district built in to the calendar. Now, officials have to determine when to make that day up.
The Board of Education will discuss how to make up the day on Wednesday.
Administrators are recommending using March 14, which is the Friday before Spring Break. Right now, it's scheduled as a staff development day.
They will also ask to use April 21, the day after Easter and on the school calendar as a holiday, as a make-up day if needed.
If the board doesn't approve the recommendation, they will likely add another day on at the end of the school year. Right now, the last day of school is scheduled for May 21.
