(WBIR) If you're looking for a job, then Knoxville is a great place to live.
That's according to CNNMoney, which listed Knoxville among its list of the top 10 fastest growing cities in the U.S.
According to the list, Knoxville currently has the best employment outlook in the nation. Staffing firm ManpowerGroup reports that 25 percent of employees in the area say they're expecting to hire this spring. Knoxville was the only city in Tennessee listed.
Nearby Anderson County has a lot to doom with the boom in Knoxville. Oak Ridge National Laboratory employs about 4,400 people and has a budget of $1.65 billion. Not only does ORNL hire lots of workers with advanced degrees, but its research has created start-ups, reports CNNMoney.
Some other reasons that make Knoxville a prime spot for growth: interstate system, railroads, the Tennessee River, good public schools, and the fun and beauty East Tennessee offers.
The cost of living is also low in Knoxville; about 80% of the national average.
