(WBIR) Daylight saving time won't be sticking around Tennessee year-round.

On Tuesday, state lawmakers voted against a bill that would make daylight saving time continue all year long for Tennessee.

Rep. Curry Todd (R-Collierville), who sponsored the bill, said the change would help farmers, school children, and business by adding an hour of sunlight.

The bill lost 6-to-5 in the House State Government Committee on Tuesday.
