East Tennessee's best and brightest artists got to show off their talents Thursday.

Kindergarten through 12th grade students could enter drawings, paintings and just about anything else for the public to enjoy at the Student Art Exhibition at the Dogwood Arts Festival.

The winning entry came from Sevier County High School junior Kelly Moore.

"I really wanted to draw somebody in a mask, and after I drew her I decided I wanted to transform it into something else," described Moore.

She used only a mechanical pencil to draw her piece. She won a scholarship, art supplies and $250.
