(WBIR, Knoxville) - Dozens of golfers took advantage of the beautiful weather on Monday by hitting the green for a good cause.
The ERISA Charity Golf Tournament was held at Fox Den Country Club. The proceeds benefit Knoxville Inner City Kids Outreach, or KICKO.
The program reaches more than a thousand children, youth and their families living in Knoxville's Urban communities.
"KICKO operates on a small budget, and they are extremely efficient with what they do. And so every dollar counts whether is $1,000, $2,000 or $10,000, which is what we hope to raise. It's a very meaningful amount," said Tommy Horst, Vice President of ERISA Services.
Currently KICKO serves 1,200 kids per week. They're hoping to increase that number after this tournament.
