A young East Tennessee singer turned internet star is facing new challenges after someone stole her family's car.
Around 2:30 Wednesday morning, someone drove off with Emi Sunshine's family's car after her dad ran into a Pilot Gas Station in Maryville. She says her CDs, stuffed animals, and jewelry, all worth up to $500, were inside.
Now, her scheduled performances are in jeopardy because it was one of the vehicles her family uses to travel to shows.
"Well I'd think that maybe they didn't have a car that they might have been, might have had to go somewhere and they may, didn't really have nothing," said Emi.
Her family says they now have a rental car. They had to cancel Wednesday's show, but will still perform Thursday night in Nashville and this weekend in Gatlinburg.
The car stolen from the family is a 2007 silver Mazda 3 hatchback with Tennessee plates 736WKM.
