A man convicted in the stabbing death of his mother almost 30 years ago will spend 24 years behind bars.
A judge sentenced Billy Ray Hill Friday. He must serve 100-percent of his sentence.
Back in September 1986, Hill was just 19 years old when he killed his 45-year-old mother in her home while looking for drug money. It took officials 25 years to charge him.
A jury convicted him back in March.
