(WBIR, Knoxville) - Thirty-thousand ducks are loaded and ready to hit the water at World's Fair Park for the annual Boys & Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley Duck Race.

Early Wednesday morning, the ducks were placed into a front loader at Claiborne Hauling and then put into a special dump truck, which will dump the ducks into the water at World's Fair Park on Friday afternoon.

One of those 30,000 ducks will be worth $10,000. WBIR anchor Russell Biven will pull the winning duck out of the water at 2:02 p.m. on Friday.

There will be ducks available for adoption right up until the race. While online sales wrapped up Thursday night, you can still adopt a duck at the race site between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.

All proceeds will go to local Boys & Girls Clubs to help support their programs.
