Dandridge started off the Fourth of July celebration a day early with Shakin' the Lake.
The community helped fund the event, providing a great time for the whole family.
With free events for kids including face painting, bounce houses, balloon animals, and snow cones, Shakin' the Lake proved to be one way for the whole family to have fun.
Last year the event was delayed for weather, but this year, it was all sunshine on the lake.
Isabell Klein is from Germany, and she's celebrating her first Fourth of July in America.
"It's awesome. I love it. I mean, the weather is awesome, and I love fireworks, that's so cool, and to get together with the family, I think that's awesome to spend a couple of days together," she said.
Flags flew in the wind, showing the pride and patriotism Americans have in their country.
While this holiday celebrates independence, it's the freedom to come together to celebrate with friends and loved ones that people seem grateful for.
