An East Tennessee woman is celebrating a very historic birthday; Mae Hill turned 100 years old on Tuesday.
The Broken Strings band helped wish Miss Mae a very happy 100th birthday at a party with friends and family Tuesday at the West Hills Health and Rehab Center in West Knoxville.
Mae evidently likes to celebrate as it was her third party of the day.
The Knox County Mayor's Office has proclaimed Tuesday as 'Mae Hill Day'.
Hill said seeing everyone come celebrate with her was unusual.
"It feels funny, like I'm out of place or something. You know I can't believe it," she said.
To give you an idea of how old Hill is, when she was born, Woodrow Wilson was president and WBIR-TV was 42 years away from signing on the air!
