(WBIR) A family in East Tennessee had to deal with a peculiar car break-in during a recent vacation. But, the culprit, wasn't your typical two-legged criminal...it was a small bear.

A family staying at a chalet in Gatlinburg this weekend sent us video of the encounter.

Caught on camera: Bear uses crosswalk in Downtown Gatlinburg

They said before they started filming a bear got in their car, stole crackers and left. But the four-legged foe wasn't done there.

Video shows the bear coming back, getting on its hind legs, and opening the car door.

It's important to note that the family did take safety precautions. They shot the video from a distance, didn't approach the bear, and made sure it left.
