Attorneys for the families of two young boys who died in an electrocution accident have reached settlements in their lawsuits.

10-year-old Noah Winstead and 11-year-old Nate Lynam died after the July 4, 2012, incident at German Creek Marina in Grainger County.

The attorney representing the Lynam family says they reached a settlement in a suit against the resort and it's owner. They're scheduled to go to court later this month to get the official approval. The court approved the Winstead family's lawsuit last month.

Details of both settlements are confidential.

Jessica Winstead, Noah's mom, is now working with legislators to change state law to prevent another accident like this from happening.
