A small East Tennessee elementary school is celebrating after they raised thousands for a disease affecting one of their fellow students.

In total, Paulette Elementary School in Union County raised $6,000 for the American Heart Association this year. Friday, the students watched as administrators ran through a "Duck-Dynasty" themed obstacle course.

One of this year's highest fundraisers was a kindergartner named Milah. She was born with heart disease and survived open-heart surgery at the 18 months old.
