A Union County man and a friend said they fought off an intruder who broke into a home earlier this week.

According to the Union County Sheriff's Department, a 911 call sent deputies to the home just before 10 am. The home's owner said an armed man wearing a black ski mask forced his way into the residence and told the man to "give him everything they had."

The homeowner and another man fought back, and the intruder eventually left the house in a red vehicle. No one was hurt and nothing was taken.

Deputies searched the area, but could not find the vehicle.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Sheriff's Hotline at (865) 992-2019.
