Wednesday, judges made their picks for the most festive "Window Wonderland" in Downtown Knoxville.
The judges toured holiday window displays throughout Downtown and the Old City. Restaurants, businesses, and stores decorated their windows to look like a Winter Wonderland or to get in a festive mood. Decorations included Charlie Brown, Christmas trees, angels, snowmen, and of course a lot of snow.
Organizers say it's a wonderful way to show off the city's festive nature.
"It's kind of like New York, going to New York and looking in the fabulous windows. We want to have as many of these businesses downtown do the same. It makes it a treat for everyone to come down, see our lights, and see our wonderful windows," said Judith Foltz, director of special events.
More than 30 places participated. The judges voted Wednesday, and you can vote too at https://www.facebook.com/CityofKnoxvilleSpecialEvents.
The mayor will announce the winner on December 16th.
