This week, a Christian organization will make an official presentation at UT's sex week.

Campus Crusade for Christ, or Cru, will speak on the subject of long-term intimacy and marriage. Organizers say the the talk is about opening a conversation about each other's beliefs instead of pointing fingers.

Some lawmakers have tried to denounce Sex Week and get rid of it, something one organizer says could be dangerous.

"Although I may not agree with everything that is present at Sex Week, there are things that I do agree with, such as rape prevention or stopping domestic violence. I do agree with those things, so I do understand the lawmakers' apprehension, but I also think there's danger whenever you put a label and kind of ban everything," said Britton Sharp, Cru campus director.

Sex Week runs through Friday night, and features several discussions about sexual education.
