(WBIR) Knoxville Police Department is investigating a body found Wednesday morning in downtown Knoxville.

Sergeant Jason Hill said a man's body was found under a ramp from the James White Parkway near State Street and Cumberland Avenue. Hill said it appeared the body had been there for a few days.

KPD said the body, which was found lying in a homeless camp, didn't have any identification.

Authorities said the initial investigation didn't turn up any evidence of foul play. The body was taken to the forensics center for further examination.
