Every good football game has tradition and in Big Orange Country, this includes tailgating.
When you think tailgating, you think of sitting out before the game, and enjoying some barbecue. In Big Orange Country, that's only the beginning.
"We are setting up for football time in Tennessee. We are 141 days away from football time in Tennessee," said Vols fan Clint Cunningham.
These tailgates are full of tradition. Some as tough as showing up as early as possible. Some as easy as a fish fry.
Fans file in from around the region. With family bonding being the utmost important tradition.
Discussions outside of the grill talk about the direction of the program and they are showing support.
"We just thought it was good to come out and support Butch Jones. We hope we have a real good season," said fan James Kitts.
No matter the tradition, these fans say they are using the spring game as a warm up for the real season. That way, they can proudly chant "Go Vols."
