Be on the lookout for gardeners doing good around Knoxville in the coming weeks.
Keep Knoxville Beautiful kicked off a new campaign Thursday called the Beautification Mob Program. It's inspired by the recent cash mobs in Knoxville.
The first project will be in the Old City at the corner of Summit Hill and Central Avenue.
On Saturday, volunteers will take over the area making it cleaner, greener and more beautiful.
"Hundreds and hundreds of cars have passed by in the last hour, so it's highly visible, and what we want to do is show off what is possible through a little effort, and encourage other owners to do the same," said Bob Graves of the Carex Design Group.
The group is also taking public input for other areas in Knoxville and Knox County that could use a beautification makeover. You can send in your nomination at the Keep Knoxville Beautiful website.
