(WBIR) A colorful celebration in downtown Knoxville Saturday afternoon helped kick off a big annual festival that's all about being proud about who you are.

The 2014 PrideFest Parade featured an assortment of colorful floats and vehicles decorated by East Tennessee businesses, groups, and community members.

Many people lined the streets and cheered as the parade went by.

This year's PrideFest theme is "Live. Love. Be. PROUD!"

The 2014 PrideFest festivities continue in World's Fair Park until 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Indigo Girls are scheduled to be the last group performing, starting at 7:20 p.m.

More information including entertainment schedule can be found on PrideFest's website.
