Ever wanted to explore downtown Knoxville by bike?
Now it's easy. You can rent a bicycle at the Knoxville Visitors Center or Outdoor Adventure Center and take it for a ride.
The eight bicycles for rent were donated by Regions Bank, and are available through the Billy Lush Board Shop at the center, along with canoes and stand up paddle boards.
All the proceeds from the rentals will go to the Legacy Parks Foundation.
"We've created some really fun routes. There's a route that kind of takes you through the Worlds Fair Park down to Tyson Park or just a downtown loop if you just want to stop, and there are a lot of bike racks downtown so that's the beauty of the program," said Legacy Parks' Carol Evans.
A two-hour bike rentals cose $19 dollars for adults, $15 for teachers and military, and $12 for kids under 17.
Reservations are not required, but they are recommended to make sure the equipment is available. Go here for more information. (Tablet users may copy and paste this link into their browser: http://billylushbrand.com/paddle-board-rentals/ )
The first 100 renters will get a free Regions Bank backpack.
