School security was notified that someone showed a gun to a bus load of Fulton High football players.
(WBIR-Knoxville) A teenager was arrested on the Austin-East High School campus Friday night after waving a handgun towards a bus load of football players from Fulton High School.
According to Knoxville Police, officers who were working the football game between the two schools were told there was a disturbance on the west side of the school building around 9:40 pm. When they arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy with a loaded handgun, brandishing it towards the students. The boy was arrested.
KPD says the teen is not enrolled at either high school, but he does live in the area. He's charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a weapon on school property.
