(WBIR-Knoxville) An early morning stabbing in east Knoxville sent two people to the hospital.

Police responded to a stabbing incident at house on Woodlawn Pike shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday. Inside the home, they found Timothy Myers suffering from three stab wounds in his stomach and one in his arm. Myers told police that he was trying to evict Jonathan Ray from his house, when Ray became angry and stabbed him.

Officers found Ray several blocks from the scene on Moody Avenue. According to a KPD release, Ray also suffered a couple stab wounds. Crews drove both men to UT Medical Center for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities said they're continuing to investigate the incident.
