(WBIR) Freezing temperatures made battling an east Knoxville house fire more difficult for Knoxville firefighters early Friday morning.

A neighbor called police after they saw flame shooting through the roof of a residence in the 2800 block of London Circle shortly before 4:30 a.m.

No one was inside the house when the fire started; no injuries were reported.

The freezing temperatures caused water to turn to ice on the sloped driveway, posing an additional hazard for firefighters. Investigators are on the scene trying to determine what sparked the blaze.
