Update Wednesday 9:30 am:
KPD said its looking for several female suspects involved in a Tuesday night stabbing at a Knoxville home.

Officers said Brooke Nichols, 30, was at a home on Ninth Avenue with several men when she said three women came in and started arguing with her. Nichols said she was trying to leave in her car when one of the female suspects got in and started fighting with her. Another woman then stabbed Nichols several times.

Nichols was taken to UT Medical Center where she was treated and released.

After the stabbing, officers found a home on Ninth Avenue with several possible male and female suspects. KPD said several people fled on foot as officers approached.

After a brief foot chase, police took two male suspects into custody.

KPD said officers caught Tonjai Jalon Hardy, 37, after he tossed a .25 caliber handgun. He also had nearly $5,000 cash and more than 8 grams of heroin in his pockets.

A police K-9 helped locate another male suspect, Terrance Hardy, 27, who was hiding in the woods. He was charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Both men are Michigan residents. KPD said both refused to cooperate with investigators and additional charges are pending.

Investigators said they're still working to identify and locate the female suspects wanted in the stabbing.

Knoxville Police officers are investigating a stabbing incident at a Knoxville home on Ninth Avenue.

Authorities say they responded to a call around 10:30 Tuesday night at 2803 Nichols Avenue, where they found the female victim with three stab wounds.

The woman received medical attention at the scene and was transported to UT Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

Officers say they had received calls about gunshots and suspicious activity on Ninth Avenue earlier in the night.

Police say they have two suspects, but are holding them on unrelated charges.
