(WBIR) A car Wednesday morning crashed into a restaurant that's been part of an East Tennessee community for more than two decades.

Officers at the scene told WBIR a woman had a medical emergency that caused her to drive into the Philippine Connection restaurant on Magnolia Avenue.

One of the restaurant's co-owners, Connie Limbaugh, said they first opened their doors back in 1988. She said they are devastated by the accident, but were glad no one was seriously hurt.

She said they aren't sure when they will get the store repaired, but she plans to contact their insurance company to see whether repairs will be covered.
