Update 10:10 am:

(WBIR) Crews have restored water to all 22 customers after a water main broke in east Knoxville early Tuesday morning, according to a Knoxville Utility spokesperson.

The break happened on 1715 E. 5th Avenue at about 2:15 a.m.

KUB said crews are still working to repair the roadway.

(WBIR) Crews with the Knoxville Utilities Board have been repairing a water main break in east Knoxville for several hours.

KUB received an alert that a water main broke on 1715 E. 5th Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.

As of 9 a.m., 22 customers were without water.

Crews have closed a section of E. 5th Avenue around the break, but traffic shouldn't be significantly impacted.

A KUB spokesperson said crews aren't sure when they'll be able to clean it up.
