(WBIR) The Love Kitchen started a new tradition this year, and one that's an entirely new experience for co-founders, Helen and Ellen Ashe.

The non-profit organization held its first ever golf tournament fundraiser Monday at the Holston Hills Country Club in East Knoxville. The tournament was a four-ball scramble.

The Ashe sisters admitted they don't know much about the sport, but the tournament gave them the opportunity to meet new people and find some workers for the afternoon.

"It's so wonderful and I have all of them to signed up before I leave that they will become cooks for the Love Kitchen also," Helen said. "In addition to this wonderful place right here, what they're doing for us, I'm going to have them cook for me."

The Love Kitchen hoped to raise $8,000 through the tournament.
