Three East Tennessee schools are cashing in on a $25,000 prize.

Powell and Brickey McCloud elementaries in Knox County, and Seymour Intermediate School in Sevier County won US Cellular's 2013 Calling All Communities Campaign. They're three of 20 winners nationwide.

Powell Elementary says they'll use the money to buy computers for classrooms.

"It's of major importance. Everything we're doing is transitioning into the computer age. So we're beginning to assess online, we're beginning to research online. Everything is centered around technology," said Reba Lane, Powell Elementary principal.

US Cellular offered the contest for schools that wanted to enhance their educational experience. The schools that received the most votes online won.
