Students, parents, and some Seymour community members celebrated Christmas in 14 different ways on Tuesday. Seymour Intermediate School hosted its annual Christmas Around the World party.
Students from third through fifth grade split up into groups to learn about Christmas in another country. And then they shared the knowledge with the community.
Students and family "traveled" from country to country to learn about different customs. They also celebrated with cookies, crafts, Santa, and even Christmas carols in a foreign language.
"We felt like it's our school's gift to our community. We always look forward to it. And families that have been here for years love to come back even after our kids have left school just to see Christmas around the world," Principal Peggy Oakes.
Organizers say the best part is teaching kids about different customs and traditions from around the world.
