Superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre has announced Knox County schools will be out Friday, citing icy conditions.

This is the last snow day the district has built into their school year, so if there are any more weather issues, they'll have to use teacher in-service days, then add days at the end of the school year.

Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing Thursday night, which could cause some of the snow to re-freeze in the early morning hours. 10Weather meteorologists are forecasting temperatures to climb back into the mid-40s by Friday afternoon.

Students will also be out of school Monday for the President's Day holiday. It will be an in-service day for teachers.
