A 7-month-old baby was rescued from a burning home in Cumberland County Thursday afternoon.
According to Crossville Fire Chief Mike Turner, they responded with the Cumberland County Fire Department to a home on Old Jamestown Highway just outside of Crossville around 2:00 central.
A man and small child were able to get out of the burning house, but the baby was still inside. Firefighters were able to get the infant out, but the child did suffer burns and was transported by helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
Chief Turner was not sure which hospital the baby was taken to. No names have been released.
