The former director of the Fentress County Chamber of Commerce is now charged with using the chamber's credit card for his personal use.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says Walter A. Page, Jr.,69, of Clarkrange, used the card to purchase a washing machine for his residence, jewelry for his wife, Christmas decorations and gifts, wine, online movie accounts, and several other personal items.
The TBI says the fraudulent purchases date back to 2012.
The chamber fired Page after the charges were discovered.
A grand jury indicted him on April 17 on one count of Theft over $1,000. He turned himself into the Fentress County jail on Monday.
