An escaped inmate from the Fentress County Jail has been caught, the sheriff's department confirmed.

Deputies say 35-year-old Joshua Carroll escaped Monday night, and authorities spent the week searching for him. He was found Friday night near Panther Branch Road in Jamestown.

Carroll was in jail facing charges for a number of home break-ins.
