Blueberry Festival

New Harvest Park Farmers Market is hosting the third annual Blueberry Festival on Thursday, June 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. at New Harvest Park.In addition to local blueberries for sale, other activities will include:

• 3:30 p.m. - blueberry cooking demonstration and pressure canner lid testing (from 3 to 5 p.m.) under the pavilion with UT-Ag extension agent Heather Kyle
• 4 p.m. - How to Blueberry workshop under the pavilion with UT-Ag extension agents Neal Denton and David Vandergriff
• 3 to 5:30 p.m. - Grub Club kid activities at the community garden, which will include painting with blueberries, making blueberry/graham cracker snacks, a reading of the book "Blueberries for Sal," a blueberry fun facts workshop, gardening activities and prizes for participation • 3 to 6 p.m. - enter to win a home canning kit
