Four red panda cubs are now being reared at the Knoxville Zoo.

Cubs Xue Li (ZHOO-lee) was born at the Cleveland Zoo and Delilah was born at Central Park Zoo in New York City.

The female cubs will be raised in Knoxville on the recommendation of the Red Panda Species Survival Plan because the cubs' mothers were not able to care for them. They are being raised in the nursery.

Two other red panda cubs are almost seven months old. Tenzing and Tabei are being raised in a habitat next door to the nursery by first time mother Scarlett.

Knoxville zoo is the leading zoo in the world to breed this species.

Knoxville Zoo is currently celebrating Penguin Discount Days. Admission tickets are half-price through February 28, 2014.

The zoo is open every day from 10:00 to 4:30.
