A Morristown woman found herself behind bars, after investigators say she planned to sneak drugs into the Hamblen County Jail.

According to a press release, Heather Marie Atkins, 21, came to the jail Wednesday evening to bring some clothing in for an inmate. The corrections officers became suspicious, so "based upon suspicion of introducing contraband into a penal facility, a search was conducted on Ms. Atkins vehicle."

Inside the car, deputies found 14 Roxycodone, 1 Opana, 4 morphine, 2 Suboxone, 8 Ibuprofen 800 (a legend drug), as well as several baggies.

Atkins was charged with 3 counts of Possession of Schedule III Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Legend Drug. She was booked into the Hamblen County Jail on a $10,000 dollar bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on December 20th.
