People in Greene County who may lose power Wednesday night because of the snow have a place to go.

The Greene County Office of Emergency Management will open a shelter at 4 p.m. for those seeking warmth. The shelter will be at the Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad headquarters, located at 602 W. Church St.

The rescue squad building has an emergency generator in the event there is a power outage, said Emergency Management Director.
