A Kingston man has pleaded guilty to hitting his son for asking to drink water instead of coke or juice.
The incident happened in January, when investigators said Brent Litton's six-year-old son wasn't feeling well at the dinner table and asked for the water because it would make him better. Litton asked his son where he learned that, and his son said he learned it from his mom's boyfriend.
A witness told officers that Litton hit the child in the face, giving him a bloody nose and mouth.
Litton will avoid jail time but is on probation.
