(WBIR) The Roane County Sheriff's Department and the TBI are still investigating the death of a 74-year-old man.
According to the District Attorney General's office, Johnny Franklin Douglas was found dead on Sunday around noon.
The TBI confirmed Monday they were assisting with an "apparent homicide" investigation.
The Roane County Sheriff's Department said they are working to determine if Douglas' death was a homicide or suicide.
Authorities are investigating a possible homicide in Roane County this weekend.
Few details are available as of late Sunday evening.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed to 10News that they are assisting the Roane County Sheriff's department with the investigation.
Authorities were posted at that scene all Sunday afternoon, near a home along Highway 70 near Buttermilk Road.
A 10News crew spotted officials removing a truck from the property with an evidence tag.
Details about the victim or any possible suspects have not been released.
