(WBIR- Harriman) A woman has been charged in a hit and run that killed a Harriman man Thursday night.
Raychell Christine Huckelby, 47, was booked Friday at the Roane County Jail.
Huckelby was charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident after officers said she hit and killed Daniel Hester, 59.
(WBIR) The body of a 59-year-old man was found on the side of the road in Harriman Friday morning.
Harriman police said the body of Daniel Hester was found near 601 Pansy Hill Road at about 7:30 a.m. Officials said they believe Hester was walking when a vehicle hit him Thursday night and drove off. They said skid marks indicated the accident was a hit and run.
"Takes about 30 to 40 minutes to go up to the store and back, to go get cigarettes, and I miss him," said Leroy, the victim's brother.
Harriman Police Chief Randy Heidle said they have a vehicle description, but are currently not releasing the information. They haven't identified a suspect at this time.
"You can see the skid marks on the shoulder. You can see some debris left behind, you can see the injuries on the body like he was hit by a car," Chief Heidle said.
"He's a nice person. He's a good person... as good as he can be," Leroy added.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol closed Pansy Hill in both directions during the investigation this morning. It reopened before 1:00 Friday afternoon.
