An East Tennessee bear rescue group picked up a special gift on Monday.

Last fall, Appalachian Bear Rescue won a new Toyota Tundra truck in a social media contest through Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program. They picked up their prize at Fox Toyota in Clinton.

Bear rescue directors plans to use the truck to haul food and transport cubs to the veterinarian. They say the truck is a much needed blessing.

"We've been waiting- somewhat impatiently. But we are so excited to get this truck. Bears could never ever afford something this nice and so we are so excited to have it," said Dana Dodd, Appalachian Bear Rescue President.

Appalachian Bear Rescue takes in orphaned or injured black bears, rehabilitates them, and releases them back into the wild.
