Authorities searching for a missing teenage girl from East Tennessee believe she could be in Nashville, Mt. Juliet or Smyrna.
Whitney L. Edmonds was last seen on Saturday in her grandparents' Maryville home, according to a statement from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Police in Mt. Juliet found her car abandoned there on Sunday.
"Whitney may be in the Nashville, Mt. Juliet or Smyrna area," the TBI said in the statement.
The TBI described Whitney as a 17-year-old biracial girl with black hair and brown eyes. She has the word "love" tattooed on the top of her right wrist, and the word "hope" tattooed on top of her left wrist
Whitney is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds.
