A Blount County commissioner who was found dead on his Walland property Wednesday died of natural causes.

Commissioner Gordon Wright, Sr., 69, was reported missing by his family Tuesday afternoon. They hadn't seen him since that morning, but had found his Jeep abandoned on Fence Rail Gap Road. Wright's body was found about a quarter of a mile from the Jeep Wednesday morning.

Sheriff James Berrong said Thursday that the preliminary autopsy was complete. Wright died of natural causes, but no other details were released.
