The Blount County Sheriff's office is looking for whoever is responsible for vandalizing street signs.

In the last two weeks, deputies say someone has spray painted the inititals "D.T." on signs in the Peterson Lane area.

The vandalism has already cost taxpayers more than $2,000 dollars. Deputies say the signs are expensive to replace because they have a special reflective paint.

The Blount County Highway Department is offering a $200 hundred dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of the culprits.

The person responsible for the vandalism could face two to four years in prison and a $5,000 thousand dollar fine.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 865-273-5200.
