(WBIR) A Vonore man was killed in a motorcycle crash that wasn't discovered for four days.

According to the Blount County Sheriff's Department, a mowing crew along Calderwood Highway found the wrecked motorcycle and the body of Ray Leon Seaton, 49, down an embankment.

Seaton was last seen Sunday on his motorcycle on Calderwood Highway. Investigators believe the bike ran off the left side of the road, hit a utility pole, then rolled thirty feet down an embankment.

Deputies say Seaton was wearing a helmet, and they believe speed was a factor in the accident. The motorcycle was reported stolen last year in Monroe County.

This is the first fatality on Calderwood Highway this year. It is located near the 11 mile stretch of the road known as "The Dragon".
