Teenagers piled into the Boys and Girls Club in Blount County Tuesday evening.

The Vault, a new hangout for teenagers, opened thanks to this year's Blount Class Legacy Project.

The new center features a coffeehouse corner with computers and couches. Teens can also play ping-pong, pool, and play video games on a 70-inch TV.

Workers says they hope the new center will give teenagers a safe place to go and to make a difference in their lives.

"If one teenager can come in here and be set on a path that may be better and they have a chance, one person can help that kid and give them a chance to go on. I think it's worthwhile," said Andrew Sonner, construction coordinator.

The Blount Class Legacy Project raised $51,000 for the teen center.
